Derek, I saw your blog address on FB and thought I'd check it out. Can I say this post sound all too familiar!! It's good to know other people make it through similar days and survive!! Julie is a great mom, I can tell from all I've seen of her--what a special woman. My favorite saying for this time of our lives--The days are long, but the years are short. Yeah, sometimes I wonder if I'll make it through the day, but then I look back and I ask myself, where did my week, month, year go? Enjoy it, as much as you can. Oh and have fun in Germany!!

I realize we don't have as many little ones running around, but I can understand the chaos with twins--especially at the age yours are at. I had a really hard time when Kate & Sam were the same age as Eden & Roman. Having three in diapers, having to dress them all to go anywhere and having three wanting me at the same time all the time... Luckily, they have somewhat grown out of the mischief and they usually aren't peeing or pooping all over the floors and getting into EVERYTHING all the time! They do grow up and all of the sudden it seems so manageable--well, most of the time:)

I can totally relate but maybe not to the extinct of having so many little ones at one time...my kids always ask me why I don't eat breakfast and I always respond that when they are done needing me to take care of them, then maybe I will have a chance to sit down and eat...most of mine are able to make their own breakfasts now. I am very amazed at the patience Julie has and wished I could have a portion of that patience. I am also amazed at how well she is able to let things go..this too I wish I had a fraction of...just a wonderful, selfless person!

Julie is my hero! This woman is living a life of total selflessness. Every moment of her life is totally devoted to her family and with the little bit of an "eye opening" experience I had at Christmas, I stand all amazed every day at what she does. I love you Julie and am so thankful that not only are you my son's wife, but also the perfect mother for my grandchildren. Hang in there - these years WILL pass!
